Shock end skid with win over VooDoo

The Spokane Shock came into their week 9 matchup with the New Orleans VooDoo on a 3 game losing streak, but Spokane was able to get back into the win column with a 65-54 victory. Paul Stephens had 2 more interceptions, Terrance Sanders returned a kickoff and an interception for touchdowns, and Erik Meyer added 6 touchdown passes to help lead the Shock to their 6th win of the season.

Spokane can’t put away Predators

The Orlando Predators were 1-5 coming into their matchup with the Spokane Shock. Spokane went to the locker rooms leading 62-41 after the first half and scored 20 2nd half points, all in the 4th quarter. But it wasn’t enough. Orlando trailed by 13 points with less than one minute to play and came away with an 83-82 victory in the 2nd highest scoring game in AFL history. Spokane has now lost three straight games after starting the season 5-0.

Shock can’t put out Blaze

The Spokane Shock traveled to their division rivals, the Utah Blaze, and despite their offensive struggles Spokane still had a chance to win at the end of the game. Erik Meyer couldn’t connect with Adron Tennell and Spokane lost, 52-48. The Shock offense scored 4 touchdowns, 3 TD passes from Erik Meyer and 1 rushing TD from Arvell Nelson, while the defense and special teams added 3 TDs. The Shock are now 5-2 on the season. Shock fall to Tampa Bay

The Spokane Shock were unable to overcome a slow start, scoring only 7 first half points, and the first two interceptions thrown by QB Erik Meyer of the season. Spokane lost for the first time this season, falling to the Tampa Bay Storm, 70-62.
