The Eastern Eagles became only the third FCS team to defeat a ranked FBS team since 2000 with their exciting 49-46 victory over the Oregon State Beavers. EWU scored on their first 6 possessions of the first half and lead 26-17 at the intermission. The two teams traded ownership of the lead in the 2nd half. QB Vernon Adams scored a TD with less than 20 seconds to play in the game and Eastern lead 49-46. Oregon State attempted a FG that just missed as time expired and Eastern Washington gained their first ever victory over a Pac-12 conference school.
